Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Home visits are available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.  Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.  There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Surgery.  If you believe that you require a home visit you should telephone the surgery between 09:00 and 10:30

A Doctor will phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, the Early Visiting Service or to arrange a hospital attendance.

GP Home visits are made after morning surgery, usually between 12:00 and 14:00, these times may vary. It is not possible to guarantee that the doctor of your choice will visit.
